After showing at a lot of shows in 2008, and running John and Carole Fletcher close for exhibitor of the year! (thanks to the three judges who gave us a BIS) I am getting more and more frustrated when the judge puts up a dwarf as best of breed, because it has more chance of getting past the next judge. Surely the best dwarf should win, not the fittest, after all we are exhibiting fancy rabbits not fur.
We exhibit our dwarfs to support the shows and hopefully be successful in terms of winning a few CCs, BOBs etc. You all know that most dwarfs do not mature as early as some breeds, often second and third year rabbits being the best type. I want the best dwarf to be the best dwarf. If we wanted the fittest dwarf to be the best dwarf then we would have to change our standard!!
Proposed New Standard !!????
